SCO Condemns Terror Attacks in India, Airstrikes in Iran, and Gaza Crisis

In a world already grappling with uncertainty, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) has issued a powerful statement calling for peace, justice, and accountability in the face of rising violence. From South Asia to the Middle East, the organization highlighted how conflicts are leaving innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

Standing Against Terror in India

The SCO strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks on the Pahalgam and Jaffar Express trains in India, which left ordinary travelers targeted in acts of brutality. The group called these assaults “cowardly” and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice. Terrorism, the SCO stressed, has no justification and only serves to spread fear while destabilizing communities.

Condemning Airstrikes on Iran

The Tianjin Declaration, adopted during the meeting, also took aim at the airstrikes on Iran by the United States and Israel. The SCO warned that such unilateral military actions threaten regional security and push the world closer to instability. It urged restraint and emphasized the need for dialogue over aggression.

Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

Equally urgent was the SCO’s concern for the worsening situation in Gaza. The declaration condemned the chain of events that has created a humanitarian catastrophe, calling for compassion, relief, and a political solution that prioritizes the lives of ordinary people.
